Simplify the design: do NOT design an onboard TP4056 circuit, boost converter, or surface-mount USB-C port. I already have all 4 complete breakout modules with standard 2.54 mm pin headers: the 30-pin ESP32, the 4-pin OLED, the 4-pin SHT40 module, and the blue TP4056 module. Only place through-hole header sockets/pads for these 4 modules and route the power and I2C connections between them. Make the PCB as small as possible

A quick clarification before I continue:

A TP4056 module charges a single cell but does not boost its output to the 5 V needed at ESP32 VIN. With sockets for only these four modules, how should the ESP32 be powered? [1]

Simplified the carrier to through-hole sockets for the ESP32, OLED, five-pin SHT40, protected TP4056 output, and a Pololu S13V20F5 5 V regulator. Connect the battery to the TP4056 module itself; confirm your modules’ fit, ESP32 VIN-to-USB isolation, and charging-while-running safety before use.
